Gary Johnson - The Candidate That Never Was

So, I blogged a few days ago about Johnson's very strong ties to the CFR. Because of the CFR's history of using people without their ever even knowing it, I stand by my concern.

However, my concern is now moot as Johnson has now effectively ended his campaign for the republican nomination for president before he ever got started.

Gary Johnson appeared on Hannity. You can see a clip here: http://video.foxnews.com/v/4184561/countrys-most-controversial-republican/?playlist_id=86924

Gary Johnson, hoping to fill Ron Paul's shoes in the 2012 election cycle officially reiterated his support for the killing of our unborn offspring. I knew he was pro-choice as governor, however I somewhat expected he would shift as he prepared to run for president. This is not the case. He is standing by the "woman have the right to chose" position he has always held....and so his campaign is dead. It will never get off the ground.

I disagree with the republican party on many issues, however protecting the unborn is not one of them. You cannot take a pro-abortion position and win the GOP nomination for President.

So Johnson may make some noise. He may try to lure some Ron Paul supporters. He may get a few who are not concerned with the abortion issue. However, his ties to the CFR takes away any real shot he had at tapping Paul's network and his pro-abortion position solidifies he will do about as well as Morry Taylor, Gov. Pete Wilson, and Arlen Specter did in 1996. As I recall that was about 1% in the polls with a margin of error of plus or minus 3%. Enough said.

Gary Johnson is not a genuine conservative.
